it lacks a human pulse

Y'ello :] I actually just finished this update a few hours ago, picture taking and the week of play time I mean. I didn't finish the editing and purging until about 30 minutes ago. Point is, I didn't hold this update at all, lucky you!




Last time when we'd left off, Lala had just fallen asleep standing up. Pregnancy has been super hard on her, and I found the answer! Due to Taylor's student loan debt and lack of inheritance (her parents were bone poor until the very end), she's moving in at her brother's to help out until she gets the ball rolling for herself.

Aka, this is just a fancy way of me saying "Hey, Taylor's moving because I said so!" (she's still really poor though.)



Taylor takes to the family as a fish does to water (though I honestly don't know what a fish would take to if not water). She immediately sets herself upon the family cat.



But then it's time to get serious. Nanny mode activate.



Logan managed to finish this expansion just a month before Taylor graduated from university, and it's where she'll be living, so that she can retain some of her independence.



Taylor is going to be the one doing the growing up*, the diaper changing, the feeding (of the whole family) and the helping with homework, and basically anything that the kids need that their parents either aren't there to help with, or can't do right then.

*growing up is dependent on who gets the 'help with birthday' interaction in their queue.



I'm telling you, I catch them every time. By the way, I didn't mention that this was Lachesis, but it's Lachesis.



Aww, y'all are cute.



Both Lily and Lachesis love their aunt, Lachesis just gets more time with her.







In spite of her agreement to help Logan out, Taylor does cherish the moments when Lachesis can entertain herself.



Especially because she won't be getting quiet moments for too much longer, Lala is popping out another!



It's yet another girl and her name is Lana.



Some of you might be wondering where Logan was during the birth of his third child. Well, I can tell you where he wasn't: in the bedroom with Lala.



Lily brought home her cousin, Marcus (I think he's like her third cousin, or something? I've never understood the 'first second third' cousin thing.)



Everyone loves Legolas.
Not a general statement.



Lily makes the mistake of requesting a game of Mary Mack, which is vehemently denied. You've spent too much time talking to that parrot of yours, Marcus.



Just talking seems to go a lot smoother.



That looks...almost sinister, Lala. Why don't you clam down.



Well now Lily isn't having fun. But look at Marcus.



I guess Lala is excited to be returning to work?






I know I made it seem like they dumped their kids on Taylor, but that's not the case at all.



They just get so little time these days, that moments like this are hard to come by...



Before they're broken up again by something or other.







Taylor is still on the prowl for a boyfriend of some sort. She considers Bustin (lilith-sims) but their lack of interest in each other is a turn-off.





This bus driver seems a lot happier than the previous bus driver. I guess you'd have to be, driving the carpool AND the school bus every day.





Almost in spite of all the hard work that Logan has been putting into his career as a sous chef, he gets demoted over some book he wrote.



Such a lively scene.



Taylor found someone that she has interests in common with in Braxton.

Bustin is nonplussed.

"I don't need a whole lot but for you I admit I, rather give you the world or we can share mine. I know I won't be the first one giving you all this attention, but baby listen! I just need somebody to loooooooove~~~"

and this is why Emily doesn't write updates at 1 in the morning.



You guys had better not about to work on another baby. You, meaning I, can barely handle the three you have!



But then again...

NO. DON'T. HAVE. ANYMORE. BABIES.

and then the next night, Lachesis grew up. Christ that's a lot of birthdays all lumped together.





A family breakfast minus Taylor, because she sucks and wasn't hungry.



But she did invite Lily out to throw the football back and forth. This seems unbecoming. Granted, I'd run around in my pajamas/underwear if I could, too.



Meanwhile, Lachesis is an indoors kind of person (my kind of person, tbh) and chooses to play with the old toys at her disposal.



When Lana was first born, Lily didn't really like her much (they had a negative relationship) but now she loves her little sister (I guess? I played with my sister all the time, but it didn't mean I loved her...)



Laci will play with Lana, but only when Lana is playing the xylophone, otherwise she prefers dolls or books.





This is the first time that Lily's seen her cousin in awhile, and Laci and Lana have never actually met him.



Things between Braxton and Taylor are going quite well, in case you were wondering. Which I know you were.



And yes, I was mean enough to deprive Taylor of her first kiss all through her teen years, all through college, and even up until the near end of this week.



But good news? Maybe? Braxton just moved in (for real this time)



With the money that Braxton brought to the household, he and Taylor are planning on moving out once the week is over. Taylor loves her nieces, but is looking forward to life without any children at all. Kids are great..but only when you can spoil them and send them back to their parents.

She doesn't know that Braxton is a family sim.



But with the week drawing to a close, I figured it was time for another change to Lala's look. She's as pleased with it as I am.



But before I could quit, April showed up, and she and Lala have not seen each other in years (the last time being before Lily was born.)

And that's it for now. Since Taylor is moving out, the rule still stands, I will no longer be updating on her or any children she may have.
